We are the Bodenheimers

We moved to Sandy Ridge, North Carolina in March 2021 with a burning desire to grow our family amongst rural lands and clear skies. We purchased a small home on 14 acres and the fun began! We immersed ourselves in this lifestyle of caring for our furred and feathered, star gazing, growing a garden, and learning about nutrient dense foods. We welcomed our amazing son, Teddy, to the world in August 2022! It was in all of this where we heard our calling and found our desire to share our experience and skills with our community. In January 2024, we made the exciting decision to start our farm business, Homelander Harvest!

We have learned a lot in our first year of business and made some great connections with you all! Since, we welcomed our second child, Annie, to the farm in January 2025.

While new to homesteading and farming, we strive to produce wholesome foods for our community. Our dream is to grow food and create products that offer nourishment for your home.

With Warmth & Gratitude,
Austin, Sarah, Teddy & Annie Bodenheimer

  • Spray Free Property

We do not spray herbicides or pesticides any where on our property.

  • Rotational Grazing

Our animals are rotated on pasture to source optimal nutrients and for the overall health of the animal and our land.

  • Deep Bedding

We use wood chips, straw, and pine needles to create a dry carbon filled bedding for the static chicken coop and winter housing.

  • Quality Diet

We provide food scraps, probiotics, and minerals to our animals to combat sickness and vet bills. Our animals eat a non-GMO diet. Specifically our egg layers and meat birds eat an organic, non-GMO, soy free diet.

  • Prioritizing Natural Immunity

Our common practice is to refrain from administering horomones, steriods, antibiotics, or vaccines to our animals.

  • On Farm Processing

Our Cornish Cross meat birds are processed on farm. This allows us to maintain our high standards of quality assurance.
